September has arrived, which means that spooky season has officially begun! And for a third year, Mtl Pole Shoot and their collaborators are throwing a big pole event : the Halloween Pole Community Show in Montreal.

If you haven't had the chance to assist to the Halloween Pole Show yet, you have to know that the idea was born in the middle of a lockdown in 2021, when connection with others was becoming more difficult. The idea was to throw a small show where pole dancers from any pole studio could share the stage with other pole dancers and get to meet other members of the pole community in Montreal.
Not only was it a great show and a fun night, it was also a fundraiser to help three people who don't have the financial means to take pole classes by giving them free classes at one of our sponsor pole studios. The night was such a great success, people asked a second edition for 2022, which was also a big event. This year, you could hear polers talking about the Halloween Pole Show in February already.
So you guessed it, the third edition is happenning very soon. Join us on Tuesday, October 31st at Stock Bar in the Gay Village for an absolutely thrilling night that will send shivers down your spine! Get ready to embrace the goosebumps, my friends.
This year the theme is horror movies. Feel free to get inspired by this theme, whether you're a performer or an audience member!

I WANNA PERFORM
If you're thinking of performing in front of an audience but don't know where to start, this is a great opportunity for a first timer. I strongly encourage you to join, the audience on that night is on fire and people are there to have a good time and cheer on every performer. Plus, this year the participants will be seperated in two categories (beginner/intermediate and advanced), so you won't feel like you don't belong because you'll be performing along side people of the same level as you.
Returning participants are also welcome. I know I don't have to convince any of you, I'm sure you've been thinking about your number for a while now. I can't wait to see what all of you are gonna come up with this year!

Of course, it's Halloween, so we encourage everyone to wear a costume and become a spooky -or not so spooky- character, following the theme Horror Movies. Please know you do not have to wear heels or an ultra sexy costume if you do not want to as long as you have a strong character and a costume that does with it.
Oh and did I mention that there are prizes to be won? There will be one winner per category, plus one staff-favorite picked by the organisers crew. Details of the prizes have yet to be revealed, but in the past they have been a generous bundle of items.
It is not really a competition, the event is mostly to have fun on the best night of the year, but it's always nice to expect a little present if you do good.
I WANNA WATCH
Last year, the audience tickets sold out in a few hours only. So the organizers figured that they needed a bigger venue. That's why the show is gonna be at Stock Bar this year. More seats and a different stage setting makes a new challenge for everyone and more room for more friends!
This time around, there is even gonna be a VIP section! Come enjoy an incredible view in the mist of the action where characters can interact with you if you let them!

All types of tickets will be available starting Sunday, September 3rd, at noon sharp. Don't wait too long, you might miss out on the biggest pole event of the year.
You can also apply to be one of the three lucky people who will get unlimited pole classes for a month for free if you are in a position where you can no longer afford pole dance. All you have to do is write an e-mail to mtlpoleshoots@gmail.com explaining a little bit of your back story and what makes you want to try pole or train pole. You can still apply to this boursary if you have not taken the leap yet.
